Harvey Benge.

birds, 2010
Harvey Benge’s self published photobook Birds is brief, elegant and subtly philosophical. Benge provides a brief background story for this slim narrative; the photographs were made late on a Thursday afternoon in April from the deck of a ferry in Auckland Harbour.
The five color photographs, each spanning a two page spread, capture a flock of birds in flight. Due to the brevity of this photobook, it reads more like a short poem, with a number of interpretative variations.
Stiff cover book, saddle stitch binding, in a limited edition of 50.
